Limits and Troubleshooting

Limits of this version​

  • The coupon list and the hints are shown in the cart page and the mini-cart (the cart drawer on Hyvä). The list is shown in the checkout too, the hints are not.
  • Rules with auto-generated coupons are not supported (apart from the personal coupon from a pool).
  • The Hyvä Checkout product is not supported.

Troubleshooting​

The coupon is not applied automatically. Check the rule: it must be active, in the right website and customer group, with one specific coupon code, with Auto-apply the coupon on. Then check the priority and Discard subsequent rules of the rules that come before it.

A second coupon is refused with "cannot be used together". A rule that comes first has Discard subsequent rules = Yes. See Coupons that cannot be combined.

Magento's coupon field has disappeared from the cart. When the maximum number of coupons is 2 or more, the cart shows Improved Coupon's own field, which takes several codes.

The coupon list is empty. It shows only the coupons the cart qualifies for. Check the rule's conditions, and that Show in the coupon list is on.

The coupon list looks wrong on Hyvä. Rebuild the theme's Tailwind CSS, see the Hyvä theme.

A coupon link says "This coupon link is not valid." The code is unknown, Allow applying by link is off, or the visitor's customer group is not in the rule.
